Typography
Objective:
By using both image and typography a designer must consider the overall message. Each element MUST contribute to the main concept/message. Concentrate on how the overall design is the result of type, scale relationships, color, and imagery. The visual focus will be based on the combination these elements.
Objective:
Design a book jacket for a well-loved book in your personal library. Disregard the current book jacket/cover. Focus on the content inside the book. Only use the existing format/size of the book.
Objective: Find a photograph of an animal of your choice, and, using the pen tool, draw the animal in Illustrator in the style of your choice. Using the color panel or the fill box, students should apply fills to the different shapes in the drawing of the animal.
